Don Giovanni, Die lustige Witwe, Falstaff...

Hi there! This week I am jumping between 3 operas. I had performance on Friday of Die lustige Witwe and performance of Don Giovanni on Sunday. The rest of the week I had stage rehearsals for our new production of Falstaff (Verdi). The performances and the rehearsals went well. It is interesting this mix of repertoire, but for me it makes sense and my voice is adapting really well. I am glad that I am singing Fenton after singing the Duke, Alfredo and some other Verdi operas. This fenton is the lightest of them all so far. But it has its tricky parts and I have fun finding out how to solve some parts, to sing the best quality I can with my voice and also to interpret and serve the music. I have always enjoy very, very much singing Verdi.

I am working in some arias and rep. specially I am looking again into some Rossini and some Puccini arias, for possible upcoming auditons. Of course always trying to stay as true as I can with my voice, regardless of the repertoire. It is the most difficult thing to do I believe, to stay always aware of our own sound to not go out of the way, while trying to keep improving.

I was at the Doctor to check on the results of my blood for general checking. I wanted to check my levels and all seems well, also I had a ultrasound for my kidneys, bladder, liver and I think pancreas. I am glad all seems fine, and I am glad I did it because I am now 38 and wanted to get checked. I do believe I live a healthy life, for what I eat and my general habits, but one never knows. As there are healthy people who suddenly get ill, for many reaons, so as a caution, it is important to me to get checked. Only a healthy body can funtion to its maximum.

I hope you are well, and see you here next week. Take care.
