Don Giovanni, Munich, Darmstadt...
Hola! I hope you are doing great. This week started with an audition for ZAV in Munich, where I sang the Lenski aria Kuda kuda (Onegin) and the aria from Camille de Rosillon (Die Lustige Witwe), and had a small chat with the panel about my ideas and plans for the near future. It went really well and they will let me know about any audition that comes in the future, so let's see what will happen.
In the meantime during this week I had rehearsals of Don Giovanni and they are going well so I think it will be a nice production but let us see how it develops in the coming weeks.
On Friday Akiho jumped in Darmstadt as Olympia in Hoffmann and she did amazing, the role was a kind of mix between a Zombie and Frankenstein and she did incredibly well, I was so proud of her and very impressed by her ability to get the role and the voice, it all worked so well, I dare to say it was perhaps the best I have seen her on stage. I am glad her agent was there, so she could see how good Akiho is as a performer. It was also very good that my dear friend Verena Stoiber (Stage director) was there to see the performance and we could catch up a bit and she was also very impressed by Akiho. So it was an incredible success this jump in and I hope that many things come out of it in the future.
I keep my routine of excercise and also reading daily, the "Daily Stoic" by Ryan Holiday and a book by an ex FBI agent call Joe Navarro called " What every body is saying". Navarro's book is so interesting and very closed related to "Cues" which I finished last week by Vanessa Van Edwards.
Please take care and see you next week here.
