Mexico, Japan, grilling...

Hi there! Where to start... I was in Mexico until Tuesday evening, then I took a very long flight of almost 15 hours directly to Tokyo Narita Airport. I arrive to "my happy place" in the world. It is the 4th time I visit this incredible country. This morning (Sunday) come to Osaka because, after 4 days of being in Tokyo, I came to met Akiho and her family again. It has been like almost 2 weeks since we (Akiho and I) saw each other. She went back to Germany and I stayed in Mexico and finally we met here again. I was really happy to see my Japanese family which include like about 8 people which I see everytime I come here. We had today a very nice grilling evening (fish, meat, tortillas that I brought from Mexico, guacamole I prepared, etc...). I came to Osaka during the afternoon and the Aki's father took me to pick her up at the airport at around 5:30 pm. Afterwards we headed to the "grill evening" to one of Akiho's sister.

Monday and Tuesday, back in Mexico I met one of my uncles and here daughter, which is my cousin but she is a little girl, so it is more like I am her uncle rather than her cousin. I also spent a lot of time with mama before I flew here, we needed it. Since I arrive to Japan I have been staying at Ginza. While in Tokyo I was as well in Shibuya, Asakusa, Shinjuku, Harajuku, Nakameguro, Tsukiji Market, and been of course in Muji Ginza, Uniqlo Ginza, and different shopping malls as well as the Royal Gardens near Tokyo station and the Modern Art Museum. I have visited different coffee places, which is my hobby, together with photography to wherever place I visit. Some coffee shops I visited already and some other new places. Two of the ones I visited for the first time and that I really liked where, the White Glass Coffee and Onibus (here, I wanted to visit since the first time I came to Japan). From the ones I visited before and I still find very tasty are Meji Coffee at Tsukiji Market and Paddlers Coffee.

The food, what can I say, " delilcious", Anpan, Mochi, Tonkatsu, Tofu, Soy pudding, Curry pan, Toast with anko, Tamago, Strawberry Daifuku, and many more, and this meat of the grilling tonight was delicious and also some raw fish we ate, also pig feet (Korean style), just writing this down makes me hungry.

It is so surreal that I am here, so far away from my home country and my current country of residence, both quasi equally distant from here. I am so happy in Japan, so much to see, eat, discover and specially walk, because I love walking so much. Here you can do that endlessly and never get bored... for example, I walked 17 Kilometers yesterday.

I also managed to teach two young tenors, one of them I have been teaching him since one year and the other is a friend of his, both are studying singing. It is really nice to teach them not via skype but live. It makes such a big difference. I am glad and happy I can try to help younger singers. I really like teaching and I learn so much by teaching them, so the learning is both ways.

I could keep going with all the things I am doing on this trip but I would not finish soon, so, maybe it is now a good time to say... take care and see you next week.
