Barcelona, la Traviata, back in Chemnitz…

Hi there! This week has been a very nice one. Continuing with last week blog I was still in Barcelona, so, on Monday I had the great chance to see Javier Camarena as Alfredo in la Traviata next to Nadine Sierra. The performance was really nice and the cast was really good. Nadine and Javier did great.

I was delighted to see Mr. Camarena as Alfredo. It was really special for me because there is also a human connection as a person with him and now with his wife too. On this trip I had the opportunity to also talk to her and get to know a bit each other. They are both really nice and very grounded people and with a good heart. I am grateful I had the chance on this trip to get to know Javier better and his wife. I am really looking forward to seeing him again. He was really nice to get me the ticket in a very nice place at the beautiful Liceu.

I finally got to see more of the Gothic part of the city in detail. Exploring its narrow streets and places, historical buildings and churches. Also, finally had the time and ticket hehe, to visit La sagrada familia church, icon of Barcelona. It was early in the morning and it was a great experience, certainly a unique church and the concept is just mind blowing. I am really happy I got to see it from the inside.

I came back to Germany on Wednesday but the rest of the week I have been realizing all I did over there. It was a very enriching trip for me, at a musical level but also personal level. Barcelona is a great city with a lot of history and cultural richness over the last few thousands of years. You can see very clear the layers of history in this particular city, and that makes it a very unique place.

I am so motivated, after seeing on stage and taking a lesson with Javier Camarena, to continue with my development and to confirm I am going on the right path and I just have to keep going.

I keep doing my daily reading and 4 times a week exercise routine. Plus reading “Voces Paralelas” by Lauri Volpi, “Los misterios de la voz humana” , also by Volpi and, “El arte del canto” by Francisco Vinias.

Please take care and see you next week.
