Falstaff, Audition, Birthday...

Hi there his week was a nice one. I came back from Wuerzburg at the beginning of the week and at the end of the week I went back for the 3rd show of Falstaff. In between the two performances I had an audition and it was Akiho's Birthday.

During the last month I have been working on getting a 20 minute warm up plan where I can be ready for auditions. Normally I take longer to warm up my body and voice, but in auditions there is always little time to prepare before your audition and often I am still not warmed up enough by the time I sing, so I worked out how to get quickly my voice ready. In Wuerzburg for 8 years I had always my time to warm up at my own pace during performances and it always take like around 40 minutes for me to get my voice going free enough and my body also ready to perform, however during auditions is all a different preparation leading to singing. This week's audition went really well, I was able to be ready with my body and voice and from my side it went really well, the few points I wanted to make sure I do during the audition went all well. So I could not have done better for that day and in my current process of singing. I am glad how it went because I was able to stay calm and I actually enjoyed the audition and that almost never happens, I enjoyed it extra just for the fact that I actually had fun singing under the pressure of it.

Aki's Birthday was a very nice relax one, we spent it together and enjoy each others comapny. I gave her some small presents and we ate nice food. I wish her many years to come, full of love and good health and may she keep getting all the good things she deserves.

It was again nice to sing Falstaff and I am looking forward for the next two performances, my last 2 of this season with Wuerzburg and the end of a chapter in my life being part of that theater. I am glad I experienced 8 years with the people, making music and developing.

I continue my routine of exercises, my daily reading of Holiday and Tolstoi, and I have just started to read "Karma" by Sadhguru.

Take care and see you next week.
