Practising, learning, Rigoletto…
Hi there! This week I was very busy practising, really trying different ways on my voice. I was also learning some new repertoire. For me it was really intensive working on technique. I also decided to be a bit crazy watching tenor videos. I watched on youtube, concerts, interviews, documentaries, etc...
Last night I saw Akiho's Rigoletto here in Chemnitz. It was a great evening for her, she stayed throuhout the whole opera really in control of her singing. It was a class on how to sing Gilda I think. I am very proud of her.
At the moment I am working with a very young mexican tenor, who has been really open to what I have to say about singing. He is starting only to understand his voice and the way before him is a long one, but so I am in the same situation. All of us who never want to stop learning always are in discovery modus and adaptation. I do enjoy a lot teaching, more than that trying to find together the student and I a way to improve their singing and their interpretation.
I continue with my excercise routine of 4 times a week as well as reading daily Holiday and Tolstoi. It is really interesting also doing everyday the morning pages.
