Premiere Falstaff, studying, exercise...

Hi there! I hope you are well. This week we had the last rehearsals of Falstaff and finally yetsterday (Saturday) we had the Premiere. It went really well and it was really well received by the audience. Working on this Verdi has been a very different experience in comparisson with my previews productions by this wonderful composer. In the past I sang roles like Duca (Rigoletto), Alfredo (Traviata), Gaston (Jerusalem), Ismaele (Nabucco). That brings me to now Fenton, which is the lightest of all the previews examples. It is funny how it all works. I remember since I was at the Opernstudio in Zurich bac in 2012, I was learning Fenton's aria and how much fun I had learning it. I even went to the festival in Salzburg I believe perhaps 2014 to see their production of Falstaff where, Javier Camarena was singing Fenton and I really enjoyed his performance. I was lucky to get the ticket from now star tenor Benjamin Bernheim. He was at that time soloist in Zurich and he was a really nice colleague. I remember seeing his Cassio (Otello) and it was a great experience and I was imporessed.

I keep studying Japanese, and learning the grammar, as I mentioned it is super difficult to learn but I am having lots of fun and my brain is working so much to learn just few rules, hahaha. I needed this challenge cause ultimately will give me the ability to speak Japanese with my Japanese friends and family.

I keep doing my 4th time a week exercise routines and reading daily "Daily Stoic (R. Holiday) and Tolstoi.

I wih you a nice coming week and take care. See you next week.
