Last Don Giovanni, rehearsals, Darmstadt...

Hi there! this week was a busy one. We had our last Don Giovanni and it went really well. I am glad that in our production were included both arias of Don Ottavio, because it makes it a more complete character and also challenging enough. I was very happy to sing both arias and to finally sing Don Ottavio. This role is one that since I started singing opera I really wanted to sing, as it was "Dalla sua pace" one of the first opera arias I learnt. So for now, I must say bye bye to this role but I do hope I singing it again somewhere because my voice really enjoys singing it.

I continue rehearsals of Falstaff, and then I went over the weekend to Darmstadt to see Akiho's Olympia (Hoffmann) at the theater. It was the third time jumping in that production, and she did really well. I am proud of her. It was also nice to see her over the weekend at least a bit, to spend some time together. We met some very nice japanese friends and had some nice japanese Ramen in Frankfurt and some Vietnamese food in Darmstadt, so I cannot complain he he.

The rehearsals of Falstaff are going well, but lets see, next week we have the KHP and the Orchestra rehearsals, and finally our conductor is there, he has been pretty absent cause he is working elsewhere most of the time.

Also I am working on my auditon repertoire, trying to improve some arias I have sung for years but still not able to complitely singing them to the level I want them to be. So, cleaning some passages, to make them nicer and easier for me to sing. Working also on my voice, it just never stops, I mean the work on our voices.

I keep reading "Daily Stoic" and my excersice routines four times per week. Also reading some of Musonius Rufus. Also I keep studying Japanese, I try everyday to do a least 30 min. to 1 hour of study.

I hope you are well and take care. See you next week.
