Rehearsals, audition, Düsseldorf...
Hi there, I hope you are well. This week I had several rehearsals for Falstaff, they were only musical, next week we begin with the stage rehearsals and I am looking forward to finally sing the nice role of Fenton.
On Friday I had an auditon, I will talk about it once I hear the feeback from the theater I sang for, it was for a specific role. I travelled the day before and slept at the city of the audition. The audition went really well from my side, I enjoyed it and I am glad I finally auditioned after so long. Auditions are so important for us singers not only for getting the job but also for us as interpreters. For me as for many of the colleagues I have talked to, auditions are more stressfull that actual performances, I do believe they are an art, like it is to perform a concert, or an Opera. It is its own category.
After the audition I went to Düsseldorf, for the weekend. Akiho joined me to in this little trip. This city is important for us because they have an incredible seleciton of delicious Japanese Restaurants. Definitely here in Germany there is no better place than that for eating Japanese food. Akiho and I love it. We ate a lot during this weekend, and bought also nice snacks at the asian markets over there. It is so nice to have a taste of Japan while being in Europe. It is for the first time that we go together to Düsseldorf mostly just eat.
I of course had very nice coffee in different places, I made my research before going to Düsseldorf and I was not dissapointed. Being in this city was really nice, it is very lively and the center is really cool and it has very good vibes, also walking along the river was so calming and nice. I did really enjoyed my short stay, now I am back in Wuerzburg, and tomorrow as I menitoned we start with the stage rehearsals of Falstaff.
I kept my 4 times per week exercise routine and reading Daily Stoic by Holiday.
Please take care and see you next week.
