Christmas…

Happy Christmas to all of you. I hope you are having a wonderful time with your loved ones. I am having a very nice time with Akiho. Although she had performance on 23rd and today (25th), we had on the 24th a very nice early raclette dinner with lots cheese and veggies, plus also nice meat (chicken and beef) while watching some Christmas movie. We also had sweet bread as dessert. Unfortunately for me I just caught a cold. So, Today I have some fever and I feel very weak but I stay positive and hope to get better quick. Today we also exchange presents.

I finally went with Akiho to the Christmas Market here, we got some Gluehwein and some Wurst. It was really nice. The Market is really near to where we live, we almost everyday walk through it but never stop to buy anything, but this week we finally did. The Market is from the beginning of December until the 23th. I wish it was longer like until the first days of January, but that is just my opinion. The atmosphere in the Christmas Market is always really nice and I love all the lights and decorations. It brings a lot of live to the otherwise cold December.

I finished this book I have been reading called "Winning: the unforgiving race to greatness" by Tim S. Grover. I got into this book cause I was really curious to know more about the guy who trained for 15 years Michael Jordan. I remember when I was little I still managed to see few games of Michael Jordan playing for the Chicago Bulls and I myself played lots of Basketball between the ages of 13 to 18. Back in Secondary and High School I was in the Basketball team at school and I took it really serious, and I loved playing the game. Tim Grover has a very unique and personal take on the elements that make the mentality of a winner, but not any winner but someone of the type Michael Jordan, also the amazing late Kobe Bryant. This book offers a very different view on winning and a lot of interesting things about M. Jordan and Bryant and other elite Athletes. I wont make a explanation of the whole book cause I can not, but I really recommend it. Me being a singer and someone who has to perform in front of an audience and face the challenges like stage fright or stress or doubt and fear in general, it was really important for me to read this book and it helped me to understand a bit more what to do and how to tackle those feelings and states of mind when facing live performance (Concerts, Opera performances, Auditions, singing in front of the family). Also reading Seneca and Marcus Aurelius has helped me a lot as a performer not only on a personal level, also reading Ryan Holiday's books has contibuted to my develop not only personal but as a singer.

I hope you are well and I wish you the best in the coming week. Stay healthy.
