Concert, Lucia, Don Giovanni...

Hi there! This week was a heavy one. Starting on Monday I had a concert for the sponsors of the theater where I sang "Dalla sua pace". On Tuesday we started with rehearsals for the revival of our Lucia from last season, Wednesday and Thursday, HP and GP (General rehearsal both with the Orchestra) and on Friday we had performance of Don Giovanni. I had only Saturday free to rest a bit the voice and today (Sunday) we had our premiere of Lucia di Lammermoor singing Edgardo (a very challenging role). Fortunately all went well. Although today I was suffering a bit the accumulated tiredness of the whole week, I had to managed a bit different tonight as I was not 100 percent fresh and my stamina was a bit under but still managed to do a good job but I know it would have been better if I had proper rest. Still, I am content I could managed to sing Edgardo under these conditions. I have still 2 more performances to come this month. Nevertheless the audience was really nice and appreciative of the effort put and the delivery. My Akiho had also a crazy schedule and she managed great, she sang even better than last year. She has been working really hard on her Lucia and it paid off. I am proud of her and her commitment to make even a better interpretation than last year.

I keep up with my 4 day exercise routine and reading "The daily stoic" by Holiday. And my "prima" Andy got married in the United States. It was all a sudden move and a very nice surprise, they got married on Friday. Congratulations my prima querida.

Take care and see you next week.
