Die lustige Witwe, adapting, singing...
Hi there! I hope you are well. This week was full of rehearsals of Witwe. The current stage director Tristan wants me in more scenes than I expected. To be honest, I feel very tired after this week, I know it is just a matter of time for me to get again use to rehearsing a lot. It has been two months since I have rehearsed in a production, so there you go. We have a new baritone and soprano in the ensemble so it is nice to work with them and seeing how they adapt to this theater and to us, the rest of the colleagues. The reggiesseur is nice and has a clear concept, I hope we put on a good performance. I am not particularly into Operetta but I do find it to be very nice music, it is just more that I like seeing it and not being part of one. Nevertheless, I take this challenge and I have some nice parts of singing where I can explore and create colors that I find enjoyable.
I am also working a lot in between the rehearsals, and on the breaks, the repertoire I want to put again on my voice, for future auditions. I am also writing and planning what are my future steps as a singer.
I hope you are well and see you next week. Take care.
