Mexico, back to Germany, premiere Hoffmann…
Hi there! This week I was both still in Mexico and now in Germany. I am dealing now with a cold and a jet lag, besides that, all is fine.
I was still in Mexico and on Wednesday I flew back to Germany, first to Munich, then to Frankfurt, stayed overnight and on Friday morning took 2 trains to get to Chemnitz. It was a long way particularly because D Bahn was 70 minutes delayed and the trains were complete chaos. It is unfortunately something that is becoming of a rule here with the German trains.
The last days in Mexico were very nice and I managed to see still some friends and eat some last tacos and my last few coffees. I must say the last two days in Mexico were a bit shocking because a very close friend of mine suffered a heart attack and she is in Hospital and still fighting for her life. She had many complications and she fights every minute since, to keep alive. I pray for her. I had the chance to meet her family and husband before I left Mexico on Wednesday, the panorama was hard but I am glad I could be there with them for a bit. It was so humbling and so strong the way I felt, they way the family and her parents feel is just very... just it is is as difficult as you can imagine. I write this just to say this body we inhabit is not ours and just borrow and as you know in any moment could be taken from us. Life is just so short and unpredictable. One day we are ok and the next we are not. I send her family all the love and energy possible. My friend is being attended by a group of doctors and specialists, who are doing their best. All her family is praying, all her friends, we are praying for her. She is such a light on this world, for the parents and family, she is a dear colleague and she is a very good musician. We both love sharing music and feelings through it. What her family and I talked, will always stay within me.
Changing a bit the topic, tonight was the premiere of Hoffmann here in Chemnitz and Akiho sang Antonia, she made her debut on this role. She has done already Olympia and now took on, on a more lyric role. She looked and did great. I am glad that I was able to be there as a part of the audience and live and share this moment in time. Well done Akiho! Kumiko is am sure proud of you!
My dear friend I know you are fighting for getting better and you are not giving up. Please God hear our prayers and help her to get well soon.
I keep my exercise routine and my daily writing and reading. See you here next week. Please take care.
