Back in Germany, Carmen, studying...
Hi there! I hope you are well. This week was just trying to get the Jetlag out of the way. Of course also, cleaning, washing, taking the dust of my flat, as I have not been home for almost 2 months, which by the way were great and I did not miss home much. What I missed most was my comfy bed ha ha ha.
Getting back here has been full of contrasts and emotions. Nothing out of the normal, everytime I come back is the same but, somehow this time after almost 2 months being away feels slightly different. So much happened during that time and I was in Mexico twice and in Japan, which by the way are opposite worlds, both amazing.
Besides dealing with Jetlag I am also slowly going back to my singing routine and also am studying Camille, I believe next week I will have already some coachings and I am looking forward to be singing again.
This Friday was Akiho's debut in Chemnitz and also her debut as Michaela in the opera Carmen. She was great, she gave the audience a beautifully and elegant Michaela, she was youthfull and charming in her singing and in her acting, yet she showed us the flexibility of her voice and the feeling that she has also a very round and lyrical voice suited for such repertoire and more, so Akiho Tsujii, congratulations for a great debut at your new theater and I am looking forward to seeing you in many more roles this season and many more to come. I believe she will have a great season and the audience will fall in love with her and her voice.
I keep reading "The Daily Stoic" by R. Holiday and also "The Laws of Human Nature" by R. Greene, I cannot recommend enough both books. These books are to read over and over and slowly, they take time to reflect on them and question them. I have had great conversations with my parents and some friends about them, one can go over so many topics.
Take care, see you next week.
