Leipzig

Hi there, I complitely forgot that I did not write a blog last week... anyways nothing worth mentioning here happened so, I will continue with this week blog.

Now I am preparing for a last minute concert at the end of febraury where I have to sing some parts from la Boheme. This concert is for some students in Munich and they asked me if I can help a soprano (who is learning Mimi) and sing Rodolfo with her. To sing again this role even for a small concert is challenging, since long time I do not sing Rodolfo so I am looking at the music. I am surprised again how beautiful and touching is this music. It is a good opportunity for me to remember this role again after I think 3 years since I sang it and to put it again on my voice to see how it feels now.

This week I went to Leipzig with Akiho and we watched "Lucia di Lammermoor" at the opera. It was a really nice performance and specially Edgardo (Arthur Espiritu) was very impressive. While in Leizig I had 2 voice lessons with Akiho's teacher and they went really well. The advice she gives me always is very useful to me and it always makes me think about it a lot, I mean it in a positive way. I had already a couple of lessons with Akiho's teacher and i am always surprised how she teaches, she is very kind and very clear and it is easy to undersand what she wants. I am 36 years old and still discovering my voice, I guess this will never change and it is always a constant search of better ways of singing and giving to the voice mantainance the whole time. I am a explorer and I love discovering new ways, not only on my singing and music but also as a person and in life. I love travelling and meeting new people and seeing new places, discovering new coffee shops and books. I take my camera more often than before and not always take shots because sometimes I prefer to live that moment and not disturb it.

I wish you all a new week full of good things. Until next time, take care.
