Next week my mum comes to visit…

This week was heavy with orchestral rehearsals of Magic flute. Now it is getting into shape and we are making further progress. I have to say that playing with the orchestra is always nice and it is just beautiful music. I feel very good singing Tamino now after 6 years from when I did it for the first time.

Because of the general situation of the Covid 19 we are in danger of perhaps cancelling the premier and that makes me a bit sad cause my mother will come to see the premiere. It will be there first time she sees me singing in stage in Europe since I first came in 2008. The waiting has been long enough and it is time she sees me on stage.

Many theaters here in Germany are considering closing down again and several have already cancelled performances. Here in Bayern the Christmas markets are already cancelled for this year and further restrictions may be applied depending of the situation and how it develops.

On Tuesday afternoon my mother is coming from México and it will be the first time she flies to Europe and the first time she flies over the Athlantic, I cannot wait to welcome her here in Germany which is my current home and has been for the last 6 consecutive years. I cannot wait to show her my life here and the little city and the way I live here. It will be a complete adventure for her and it will be I think such an eye opener just being here and see how other people live their life and how they interact with each other. She will be able to see the culture and food and I will be able to spend a lot of quality time with her.
